She believes in individual case formulation and will use a combination of clinical assessment and interview to develop the most effective treatment plan for each individual’s needs.

Dr. Drapkin has worked the last almost 20 years in the area of alcohol and other substance use disorders research and treatment. She approaches addictions treatment in a respectful, collaborative fashion, using both CBT and MI approaches. Many seek her out as an alternative to 12-step treatment. She also works with individuals who are still considering what changes they want to make.

She also specializes in areas that commonly occur with those disorders, such as depression and anxiety (e.g., PTSD, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), phobias, etc.). She is an advocate for the LGBTQA community and welcomes individuals of any race, color, ethnicity, religious or sexual orientation.
